Hotel logos from all around the world

Hello everyone,

in my first blog post I would love to introduce you to some hotel chains and brands. I have tried to chose some popular, big as well as smaller brands. I’m fascinated by hospitality industry and discovering new hotel brands from all over the world! I think this is a really good practice for myself, so expect a lot of posts about my favourite industry. Do you know all these hotel chains and brands ?

Baglioni Hotels – is an Italian company that owns a chain of nine luxury hotels located in Milan, Venice, Florence, Punta Ala, Rome, Aix-en-Provence, Champion Epernay, Saint Paul de Vence  and one established in March 2004 in the UK, in the heart of London. In 1974 Roberto Polito founded Baglioni Hotels Group. Their next opening will be the Baglioni Resort Maldives, an exclusive resort of 96 villas located on the island of Maagau.

Grand Heritage Hotel Group – In their portfolio you will find everything from one-of-a-kind historic properties to world-class destination resorts. This hotel group was founded in 1989 by John W. Cullen to focus on historic properties that suffered from lack of branding and management expertise. Grand Heritage Hotel Group owns and operates over a dozen independent hotels and resorts across North America and Mexico. Currently they are developing numerous international properties – in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the U.S., the Caribbean, Mexico and Bermuda – under its Grand Heritage Residence Club brand. They own Hotel Stanley that you know from “The Shining” movie.

Curio A Collection by Hilton – this is a brand of Hilton Worldwide made up of four to five star hotels from Hilton. Curio is a collection of independent hotels whose only unifying characteristic is their individuality. Hilton selects independent boutique hotels to be part of the Curio collection based on their character and with the aim of offering travelers a unique local experience.

Conrad Hotels & Resorts –  is an international brand of luxury hotels and resorts owned and operated by Hilton Worldwide. Conrad was considered the luxury flagship brand in the Hilton Family of Brands, named after company founder Conrad Hilton, until being supplanted by The Waldorf-Astoria Collection in 2006.

Embassy Suites –  is a chain of upscale all-suite hotels trademarked by Hilton Worldwide. As of September 30, 2015, there are over 223 locations in 6 countries. Similar to other Hilton brands, most Embassy Suites hotels are independently owned and operated by franchisees.

Warwick International Hotels – with more than 50 hotels in 24 countries and around 9,000 rooms exclusively in the 4 and 5 star segment, here are the key figures of the Warwick Hotels and Resorts Collection. An emblematic establishment of the Big Apple since 1926, the Warwick New York was built and made famous by William Randolph Hearst – an American businessman and media tycoon in the early twentieth century – for the love of his life, the Hollywood actress Marion Davies. This only proves that hotels are made with love 🙂

Choice Hotels – Choice Hotels International is one of the largest and most successful lodging companies in the world. Choice currently franchises more than 6,300 hotels, representing more than 500,000 rooms, in more than 35 countries and territories. Ranging from limited service to full service hotels in the economy, mid-scale and upscale segments

Delta Hotels –  is a four-star brand of hotels and resorts located primarily in Canada, with the first hotel in the United States added in 2015. The chain is wholly owned by Marriott International. Delta was founded by William Pattison in 1962 in Richmond, B.C. with a single 62-room motor inn called Delport Inn. They own a beautiful Delta Hotel in Toronto.

Langham Hotels International – is a luxury hotels operator dating back to 1865, when The Langham, London originally opened as Europe’s first ‘Grand Hotel’. Today, the group covers four continents, with projects located in cities and resorts around the world, including Auckland, Bahamas, Bangkok, Beijing, Boston, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Phuket, Pune, Samui and Shanghai. The group’s rapid expansion continues with its two brands The Langham and Langham Place, as well as its affiliate brand Eaton.

The five star luxury Shangri-La has 5 brands across different market segments including Shangri-La Hotels, Shangri-La Resorts, Traders Hotels, Kerry Hotels and Hotel Jen.

Hualuxe Hotels and Resorts – is the first upscale international hotel brand designed specifically for Chinese guests. HUA translates as ‘majestic China’ and LUXE represents luxury. The brand is built on IHG solid understanding of local traditions and in-depth consumer research.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts – The first Four Seasons hotel opened on the first day of spring in 1961 on an unlikely downtown site in Toronto, Canada. Canadian businessman Isidore Sharp founded Four Seasons. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts offers trips in a company-owned Boeing 757 with 52 seats. This is also one of my favourite hotels in Toronto.

Millenium Hotels and Resorts – Established in Asia and now found in over 60 destinations worldwide. Millennium Hotels and Resorts is a hotel company that treats the guest as family, with a unique range of global properties. Their hotels are always fresh, surprising and tailored to their location. They blend Asian hospitality with western comfort.

In their portfolio in Las Vegas you will find hotels such as Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand or The Mirage.

The Ritz-Carlton – operates 91 luxury hotels and resorts in cities around the world and resorts in 30 countries and territories. The story of The Ritz-Carlton begins with Swiss hotelier César Ritz who was known in the hotel industry as the “king of hoteliers and hotelier to kings“. Ritz redefined luxury accommodation in Europe with his management of The Ritz in Paris.
